Boris in Montreal, 2010.
These were taken with my Nikkor 50mm 1.2 AI-S lens on a D90 body. I enjoy this lens for low-light photography. It is also great for video, due to its exceptionally smooth focusing ring.
I am very thankful to have seen Boris live. They are an exciting band, and they exude good vibes. I wish I had taken a better photo of Atsuo.
While this is primarily a blog about my music, I want to start sharing other aspects of myself. Goals include making this a little more personal, and adding content more frequently. Because I have been an amateur photographer for many years, I will post select visuals from time to time.
This image was taken in Montreal, through the passenger window of a moving car. It is a composite two photos: a close-up of the rain drops that were on the window, and a far shot of the cranes. I added the gradient using software.

Being in the spotlight is something I’ve feared since childhood. Extreme introversion is an opaque, infinitely large obstacle to someone who dreams of recognition as an artist. I tend to avoid posting my face on social media (for the above reason but also), because I want my music to be the thing that people connect with. But I am finally starting to accept that people appreciate seeing the face behind the dialog, behind the painting, or behind the istruments.
Here I am. :)

Just a typical day at work, doing odd jobs in outer space.

New, untitled track to be used on a future album. I’m looking for title suggestions, and if I read one I like, I’ll use it when the track eventually appears on an album.
Contact me if you have a suggestion. :)
